Creating has always been a part of who I am. I’ve never pictured myself doing anything other than capturing life in a meaningful, beautiful way.

Hi, I’m Mary Rose Hite, the person behind Mary Hite Photography.
Long story short, I’ve been drawn to visual arts my whole life. I started out painting, loving the way I could take real life and make it appear in the best possible way—from life to canvas. Then “real life” happened, and I became a nurse. I worked through COVID and have been a nurse for almost seven years now.
You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you that. That experience shaped me into a strong problem solver and a true figure-it-outer. Returning to my love of capturing the best of life, paired with an “everything is figure-out-able” attitude, makes me a natural fit to photograph the most important moments of your life.
My photography style falls in line with my outlook on life: take what’s there and make it the best it can be. I believe in true-to-color images, real emotion, and your moment—but remembered better. I believe in getting the classics (think grandma’s fridge photos), trying creative editorial-style images, and stepping back to capture the moments you didn’t even realize were happening.
